Microsoft – MSMix, award winning newsletter
Want to make boring newsletters a thing of the past?
Leading IT Distributor, Westcoast, is always on the lookout for new ways to deliver varied messaging from its blue-chip vendor base to its growing reseller audience. Microsoft had briefed them on a requirement to deploy monthly updates to its reseller base on its wide range of products and services – information on new products, advantage programmes and reseller opportunities.
Keeping an eye on new technologies, our designers identified Ceros as a platform that would let us design and build dynamic content for a monthly newsletter ‘on the fly’, largely using Creative Suite skills, without laborious .html coding. It was just what Westcoast was looking for.
As well as adding functionality and movement to the content, Ceros shortened the time from brief to deployment, and allowed us to be highly responsive, so that featured news is always fresh, lively and engaging. Ceros provided an on-line tutorial and personal training for our designers and there are regular product updates and a very useful help desk.
Westcoast Account Managers now brief us with content and theme, and we do the rest. There are nine ‘experiences’, or animated panels to each newsletter, keeping content varied and interesting.
Senior designer, James Foulger, said of the Ceros platform – ‘It’s great to be able to design AND build dynamic web content the way we want it to look and animate, from the off, without passing designs over to our web department to build and animate.’
Phil Lamplugh, Westcoast Account Exec for Microsoft said of MSMix, ‘Hartley-Stone manages our MSMix Microsoft newsletters through Ceros. Through them we are now able to design, build and deploy highly creative, up-to-date, engaging Microsoft content rapidly to our large reseller base.’
..and not forgetting that MSMix won the prestigious 2016 CRN award for best Website! (More >)
