About Hartley-Stone

Hartley-Stone is a long-established full service design agency based in Wimbledon. We’re entirely focused on the B2B sector with a particular emphasis on the IT channel, from Vendors through distributors, resellers and end users. We’ve recently been acquired by a fast-growing marketing group (Selbey Anderson) who has big plans for our future. As a result, we’re now looking for an Account Manager.

It’s an important position where you will work across all our clients helping to devise and execute creative campaigns, as well as assisting in managing a variety of marketing communications projects. Those projects cover everything from design (including print, digital and social) through to events; including concept creation, copy writing, marketing automation, and more recently, Account Based Marketing (ABM).

Whilst we wouldn’t expect you to have experience of all these disciplines we would expect you to learn quickly, as well as grasping the technologies that our clients sell. Whatever the campaign or project, we see them through from conception to completion. And we’d expect you to do the same.

With great interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders including (naturally) our clients, prospects, agency colleagues and suppliers. You will form an essential bridge between the aspirations of our customers and our full range of creative services and on-time delivery. You’ll be passionate about delivering work to the highest standard and will understand what it takes to manage a creative project from start to finish. You’ll be highly organised, have exceptional attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of our Account Manager

  • Reporting to, and working alongside, the CEO ; you’ll assist in developing client relationships

  • Liaising with various internal stakeholders and external suppliers

  • Initiating, planning, controlling and delivering a whole range of projects on time and to budget

  • Maintaining a robust ‘project process’ to ensure efficient and effective working and on-time delivery across all projects

  • Attending client meetings when required and contributing in internal brainstorms

  • Creating budgets and ensuring profit goals on projects are met

  • Requirements of our Account Manager

  • You will have 2+ years’ experience in a creative/design agency (or similar environment) where you’ll have had a client-facing role

  • You’ll need to demonstrate a solid knowledge and passion in all those creative services that we offer, especially digital and print. (Motion would be a bonus).

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (specifically, copywriting)

  • Develop in-depth market and product knowledge

  • You must be highly self-motivated, as well as a being team player and appreciate the fast paced rhythm of a growing creative design agency

  • You’ll have an obsessive eye for detail and understand that work simply can’t be sent to client that is less than perfect

  • You’ll understand the importance of staying up-to-date with trends that impact on our industry as well as our clients, especially the impact of digital technologies and social media channels
