HOST has access to Learning and Skills Council (LSC) funding under the Train to Gain scheme.

Train to Gain is targeted at Candidates that require an NVQ level 2 or level 3 qualification. We can conduct the NVQ assessments for experienced workers in their workplace, or provide initial training before the NVQ assessments are carried out.

Train to Gain funding is designed to improve the skills of all kind of people, including:

  • contracted employees (full and part-time)
  • self-employed people
  • volunteers
  • employment agency workers

We can conduct NVQ assessments in a variety of fields such as Plant, Gas Network Operations, Highways Maintenance, plus a range of traditional construction trades including Plastering, Wall and Floor Tiling, Bricklaying, Carpentry and Plumbing.
