About Us

Hartley-Stone is a full service marketing agency, working on individual projects and dynamic, integrated campaigns.

We wouldn't pretend to understand your products and services as well as you do, But working with you, by applying our marketing savvy, industry knowledge and unique skillset, we'll create a fresh approach, a new perspective on your market, your goals and your brief.

That way, we'll be able to deliver ads, mailshots, brochures and web projects that help you to stand out from your competition and strike against the potential indifference of your audience.

Which means you get a higher profile and better results. More bangs for less budget.

Please take a look through our site, if you like what you see, we'd love to work with you.

David Hartley

David has more than 30 years experience working in a business-to-business sales and marketing environment. With a degree in Graphic Design, David started his advertising career working for Reed Business Publishing on Computer Weekly. He went on to set up Graymore marketing in 1985, which focussed almost entirely on IT products, and has delivered strategic and tactical marketing campaigns for blue chip companies and start-ups across the UK, America and Europe.

David set up Hartley-Stone with David Nossiter in 2002 to work across a broader range of B2B businesses. He is responsible for marketing and art direction, copy writing and heads up creative services.

David Nossiter

With more than 25 years experience in B2B sales and marketing, David also started his career at Reed working alongside David Hartley on Computer Weekly. Having spent a number of years working in the Middle East he resumed his career in B2B sales with United Newspapers culminating as Ad Director at Tolley Publishing in 1991 and then as Director at a leading direct marketing company. Before setting up Hartley-Stone with David Hartley he spent 5 years in a management consultancy responsible for business development. David is responsible for business development, finance and marketing direction.

Stuart Banks

With so many of our services, dependent on, and maximising the power of Internet technology, Stu acts as the essential technical bridge between our creative services and most of your audience. As such he is ideally positioned to double as Hartley-Stone's Studio Manager.

James Foulger

James is responsible for overseeing day-to-day progress on many of our larger accounts, for ensuring deadlines are hit and design parameters remain consistently broad whilst quality is maintained.

Tanmai Tanna

Tan sees beyond the visual and focuses on imperatives like download speed, resolution, security and browser compatibility. He once actually said; "look at the beauty of that code."

Nancy James

Nancy enjoys developing concepts across a range of media, electronic and conventional. She especially likes working with illustrations and cartoons.

Alistair Shrimpling

Alistair was born in Scotland and grew up in South Africa where he designed for an advertising agency on several key accounts including Coca-cola and Reebok. He built up his own small agency in Johannesburg and after 8 years missed the rain and fog, so moved back to the UK. Al is a great designer and animator, and also helps us with his uncanny technical knowledge of everything Mac.

Helen Manning

Helen used to work for one of our clients, running their invoicing and accounts payable, and came to our side of the fence because we never once gave her a hard time - we wouldn't dare. Helen is now in charge of our bookkeeping, invoicing and chasing slow payers. You don't want a call from Helen.

Luca Sarteur

Luca is our resident university leaver. We're showing him the ropes and helping him see how the commercial world of web development works, and he's not suicided yet - so that's good.
